Streetside terrace with privacy

'It is impossible having a terrace at the streetside because of the southern sunlight. You cannot have a view towards the street and enjoy your privacy at the same time'. That was the reaction of the clients when they presented the plot and the wishes for their home.

Louvres

To meet their needs, we proposed 2 courtyard terraces at the streetside, with louvres as a facade. The louvres allowed the sun in, reaching the people sitting on the terrace. It also creates views towards the street, while creating enough privacy at the same time. The courtyard terraces also provide light into the living room and the sports area in the basement.
